"...when autumn leaves start to fall." - Jacques Prévert
In the style of the great comedic duos - Hope and Crosby, Martin and Lewis and even Bert & Ernie - myself and Alex (my bald partner-in-crime) will treat audiences to an evening of song, silliness and fun! Thanks to the generosity of the Winter Park Playhouse, those not in Florida can enjoy the show virtually, the last weekend in October!
Fingers & broomsticks crossed, this little three-hander I've been working on is finally getting a NYC reading. Originally planned for May 2020 CONFESSIONS OF A RETIRED WITCH is written by Drama Desk Winner D'Jamin Bartlett (A Little Night Music) and Emmy Winner Mark Bornfield. I performed in an earlier version, then know as MISSPELLED, at the Cherry Lane Theatre during the New York Fringe Festival. This time I get to direct!
Liberty University's Alluvion Stage Company opened FIDDLER ON THE ROOF in September, running through early October. I restaged some of Jerome Robbins' original choreography and created some of my own; and for the first time I got to work on a raked stage, which presented a unique challenge for all.
Last year, Kari Ringer and I created a new retelling of Charles Dickens' A CHRISTMAS CAROL, debuting at Theater West End in Sanford, Florida.
It’s 1958, and in New London, OH, The 30th Annual Christmas Spectacular is opening tomorrow! At the helm is a fussy director who has lost the true spirit of Christmas, and it looks like “spectacular” will be a long shot. With the help of unexpected visitors from the past, present, and future, one whirlwind evening helps the director, and the whole community, come together for a spectacle this town will never forget!
We hope to bring the show back this holiday; maybe not on stage, but rather the air waves. Hold onto your holly, Tim...we're coming to the radio!
